WeeRide 12-Inch Push Bike (Yellow) - Kent Reviews
Too tall and too loose!
J. Kelley - 2 out of 5.
I purchased this bike for our 3-year-old son. He's average height, and now, at 3 1/2 years old, he still isn't tall enough to ride this bike. I consider this a waste of money. We were hoping this would tide him over until he is tall enough for the pedal bike he received as a gift.Assembly was easy, but getting the handle bars and seat to remain tight is likely going to be impossible. We've had the bike out of the garage to test the fit three times over the past several months and each time, I've had to tighten the seat and handle bars after. I can't imagine how bad it will be if the bike were actually ridden, if this happens so easily just with a child sitting on it for a moment.
I will not recommend this bike to anyone, and I'm hesitant to even try to sell it to recoup any of the money we paid for it. In fact, with the loose seat and handlebars, I don't even feel comfortable donating it. Yes, it is that bad.

Hope your child has long legs

I got this for my 2yo and it will have a nice layer of dust on it before he can reach the ground while sitting on the seat. And he'll probably be ready to ride a bike with pedals by then. I attempted to lower the seat as far as possible and I even took off the seat and taped a piece of thin foam on as a test to see how low I could get it. No luck.Beyond that, the fit and finish are probably appropriate to the (low) price but are sub par in general. The rear caliper won't center properly and rubs the rim after each brake application. The seat and handlebar clamps don't get tight enough to hold their positions.
It was an impulse buy that I should have researched more fully.

12" wee ride

Great price quality construction. Only one complaint is the brake. A 4 year olds hand is not even close enought to being able to use the hand brake0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Quick and Easy
RJLOne from Michigan - 5 out of 5.
First let me say that my kids both already had bikes with training wheels. Neither were looking forward to Dad removing their training wheels - the prospects of falling down were too much for them. So, when seeing this "bike" on sale I thought we'd give it a try. It came somewhat unassembled, but was quick and easy to get it complete - in fact I did so on the kitchen counter in about five minutes time. Then came the test, would they try it. I gave the Dad talk - how this was a new bike, a special bike, that you ran with you feet, that you pull your feet up and just like magic it will allow you to roll on the pavement. Low and behold they took to it. After three or four times up and down the driveway my eldest came and said, "Dad, can you take the training wheels off my bike." Success. Literally went from a training wheel bike to riding two wheels without a single crash. I was absolutely floored. And so what if the bike got less than an hour of use in our household. It served the purpose and was off to the next family friend for their learning bikers. Assessment: Quick and easy to assemble; quick and easy to move away from having to have training wheel. I thought it was cool...
Kara P. from Denver, CO - 3 out of 5.
but my 3 year old did not. The first thing that she noticed once my husband put it together was that it did not have pedals. For her, pedals are apparently very important because she has yet to ride it. It was very easy to put together and since it was so inexpensive compared to the other push bikes we are going to keep it and see if she will give it another try. Also she is very tall for her age and this bike barely fits her.1 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Great price and fun to use

This is great price. My child like to use it. It is kind of big. It is good for 5 years old to use it. The bike is easy to put together. 10 minutes is the most.2 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
4 at the youngest...
Rey from Bishop, CA - 3 out of 5.
This bike has two bars on the frame directly under the seat, one on each side of the seat post. There are 2 problems with this. 1) it makes the bike much heavier than other run bikes. Overall, this bike is very heavy for a little one to master. 2) it makes the stance while seated on the bike very wide, prohibiting a shorter child from easily touching the ground, even with the seat at the lowest setting. This bike is better suited for a 4 year old, at the youngest, due to its weight and leg length requirements. If you are looking for a run bike to a 2-3 year old, I highly recommend the Strider. It is lightweight, has a low cross bar frame, and solid tires. The hand break, while a seemingly good idea, is just a bell and whistle.7 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.

THE MOST IMPORTANT INFO IN CHOOSING THIS BIKE
SoCalBob from Southern California - 4 out of 5.
[...] Looks great, with red frame and red/white wheels. Shipping weight is 16 lbs but the bike is not heavy to lift. You need a pliers and maybe wrenches to assemble it, but I only used pliers. You also need a scissors to cut the plentiful packing tape. The bike is neither too heavy nor flimsy. Strikes a good balance, I think.Took about 45 minutes from opening the box to testing out my son's crotch height. You attach the front wheel, put in the seat and insert the handlebars (along with a drop of oil). The trickiest part is assembling the hand brake and it takes a bit of skill to do so. Inflate the tires, and your kid is ready to roll. Manual isn't bad, but it refers to pedals in one part (there are no pedals) and could be clearer in spots. If you can assemble a bike, you can assemble this.
I think I'll take it to the local bike shop just to have them tighten and align everything properly, just in case.
Well worth the price, I think.

I like it, but...
Nicole - 3 out of 5.
I purchased the yellow version of this bike on sale for about 1/2 off. For the price, it seems I got my moneys worth assuming it holds up to use. I like it, it will last a long time height wise, and he likes it.My complaints (ie: why this isn't a 5 star review)
(I know I could send the bike back, but I choose not to- IME returning a product isn't worth the hassle if you can fix it yourself)
*The bike arrived with chipped paint.
*The hand brake tire pads wouldn't adjust correctly- it was loose and wobbly. When braking it would move to one side or the other. The solution the manual gave was to take to a bike shop. My solution was to remove the brake- against the manuals direction. Given the bikes design having a braking mechanism seems more of a hindrance than a help. He can brake with his feet like kids do with practically every other balance bike on the market, I feel safer about him braking with his feet than I do about him using a handbrake with this style of bike. The child is too young, really, to understand the hand brake anyway. After removing it is impossible to reattach.
*The color is different in person- the tires have no white rim, the seat and handles are a bright yellow, the frame is a golden yellow. It looks uglier in person.
*It is larger than the other bikes I have seen in stores, which is both a good thing and a bad thing. It barely fits a 4 1/2 y/o who is over the 70th percentile for height with the seat adjusted extremely low. I purchased two, one for a younger child to grow into this summer- he is also very tall for his age. I am going to look into fitting 10 in tires to it. It is bigger than the other 12 in bike we have. If the smaller tires do not work, the other bike will wait in the box until next summer. This is labeled for 3+ and is marketed for 4 to 6 year olds, I believe the labeling is misleading.
I like the bike, but I wouldn't pay full price for it when there are other brands that do the same thing and are more established.

Great Bike!!!
Thomas Phelan from New Jersey - 5 out of 5.
An amazing bike that works. It took our daughter 2 walks in the park on this bike and she learned how to ride! No scraped knees, no frustration, no parents running behind huffing and puffing. Then 2 days later she hopped on her regular bike and rides 2 wheeler with no problem. Worth every penny. The bike is very well built and we would recommend it to everyone!3 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Great idea, but?
B. Lawrence from San Antonio, TX USA - 3 out of 5.
I think this is a great idea, but I have a less expensive and more practical solution, I think. Both my kids have been difficult to teach to ride a bike without training wheels. I read about the "no pedals" idea on a bike riding teacher's webpage, so I'm going to try it.However, I'm just going to take 3 minutes and remove both pedals from their regular bike--it's the same effect as that produced by this bike, and when they have the balance down I can reattach the pedals and they can ride normally.
I think the concept behind this bike is a great idea, but if the parent can remove and reattach the pedals (it just takes a wrench), one could save a lot of money and just buy one bike instead of two. If you're not mechanically inclined and have the money, it's probably a great buy. Just my $.02!

Great first bike to learn to ride on!
G. Gendron from Canada - 5 out of 5.
Bought this bike for my son and he loves it! Considerably less expensive than others, but well built and easy to assemble and use. A nice transition from foot power ride-on toys to balancing without the worry about learning to pedal at the same time.5 people voted this review as helpful and 1 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Awesome!!!
Katleen B. Gallagher - 5 out of 5.
Awesome!!! Europe in US!!! I love it and my kids too. Don't spend money on scooters, tricycles and others. Buy a training bike and than graduate to a bigger bike without the training wheels. It is practical and safes time for the bussy parent.5 people voted this review as helpful and 2 people voted this review as unhelpful.
