LeapFrog® Tag Storage Case - Leapfrog Reviews
Great Case
G. Lees from Utah, USA - 5 out of 5.
Super easy to use, very convenient, and a great accessory to your Tag system!! It's nice to have such an easy way to keep all the Tag books kept separate from his normal library. I think we need to buy a second one to hold his long vowel and short vowel books.0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Not designed correctly
P. LAL from california - 2 out of 5.
This storage case is not designed well. The Tag reader does not snap in the slot provided so when the child closes the bag it falls off. I tried to do it and it does not snap just stays in the slotOverall not a value for the money at all. It is a good idea to have a storage case but should have been designed well. Not sure if there are any alternative cases available so may be no choice rather to buy one.

not durable enough for the intended age group
little moma from tucson,az - 2 out of 5.
Great idea to have a storage case for the Tag reading system, however if it were made of something other than plastic, like maybe something like a soft padded zipper case instead that would be better suited for the wear and tear that kids of the intended age group will put it through. My sons is still fine so far but one false move and the latch will be broken off! or the hinge will break! i hope they come up with a new design that is "KID TOUGH"0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Needed for the tag reading system
Levi Tippetts - 4 out of 5.
Although it only holds up to 6 books, this is nice to have to keep the books and tag reader together.0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Decent carrying case
Amy Mcfarland from California - 4 out of 5.
This is a great idea if your child takes their reader in the car. It's made out of a pretty durable plastic, not as flimsy as some of the other reviews make it out to be. It holds 6 books and the pen and keeps it all safe and secure. I do wish there were a little more room in there for our national geographic animal cards that go with the TAG system, but hey, can't have everything!Pros: Easy for my son to hold, open and close. Fairly durable plastic. Great for keeping things tidy and together, especially for road trips.
Cons: Just one I can think of - the activity animal cards we have for the TAG don't fit that well with a book or two in there (they're pretty thick).

Great concept. Could be executed better
Lisa Hernandez from Chicago - 3 out of 5.
I really like this product. The idea is good. It keeps the pen nice and safe when not in use. But the case has seperated several times. They are just snapped in, not really tightly locked. I think they should just make this case for the pen. I like the fact that I can keep the Tag books seperate from the others though. It keeps things simple when looking for something specific. But once you get more than 6 books, you either need another case, or find another contracption all together for them.0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
One of the best ideas for kids EVER!!!
M. Henning - 5 out of 5.
I bought this for my kids and their Tag books. This was one of the best ideas ever.. to have the toy and storage for portability. This keeps all of the stuff together and teaches kids the fun of organizing things.0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Great way to store the books!
Christa Johnson from Texas - 4 out of 5.
We got this when we got our TAG system. It is big enough to hold many books - and a great way to keep things organized for home or travel. I highly recommend.0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Not worth the price.
Susan M. Cunningham from Fort Worth, TX USA - 2 out of 5.
The Tag Reader case is OK, but definitely not worth what it costs. I like that it has a place for the Tag Reader to snap in, but it really doesn't hold that many books. If you have the 32MB Reader, you won't be able to fit all the books that the Reader holds inside this case--maybe half. It is a sort of clam shell design, and the clasps that hold it together move around so much that it makes it very difficult for a young child to close the case without the clasps getting caught. If this happens many more times, I fear they will break. A Tag Reader case a good idea, but this one was just not very well thought out or made, and definitely not very well priced. I'm thinking very seriously of returning it and getting something that will better meet our needs.0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Solid Case!
B. Moore from NH - 5 out of 5.
Just got this case and its solid! Not a made from milk jug material like others have commented...unless they drink Hood out of a 5 ply light block jug! I think this is stronger and sturdier than RubberMaid storage bins in the basement. With a 1 year old in the house this much needed!Only draw back is that is doesn't seam to line up correctly when closing...no big deal.

Leapfrog Tag Storage Case
F. Ranken from Fort Lauderdale, FL - 5 out of 5.
This storage book is very durable and efficient. I was able to hold the pen, 4 tag books, and 3 junior tag books with no problem. I will definitely purchasing another one when my baby gets old enough to upgrade from the junior tage to the regular tag books.0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Horrible....keeps seperating at the hinges
Tony from PA - 1 out of 5.
This is a really cheap case. The material is that of a milk jug.
The hinges on my model aren't glued but rather have three "tabs" on each hinge that snap into place.
Unfortunately this is where durability is an issue.
I opened and closed it four times and each time I was holding two pieces in my hand.
This is without anything in it!
I think an inexpensive netbook bag would be a better solution.

Great case
John - 5 out of 5.
The case is great for the pen and books. It's easy for the kids to open and close and provides enough storage for a lot of the books. I also like that it's somewhat transparent so you can see if it's empty, or if the pen is in there or not.0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Very Durable
T. Reese - 5 out of 5.
We got this to go with our tag system and it's great. It holds all the books we have and protects them and the pen from getting broken. Really great for in the car and travel also.0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Tag Storage Case Review
Danielle from Lake In The Hills, IL - 4 out of 5.
The case isn't bad and is certainly handy for storing, but we have outgrown it and wish that our headphones would fit in the case as well. It does seem durable and my 4 yr old son can open and close it on his own.LeapFrog® Tag Storage Case2 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Very sturdy Case
Kat from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma United States - 5 out of 5.
This is a very sturdy case my son is hard on it. Drags it around every where, throws it in his toy box and so on. So it gets banged on and the books stay in place and the Tag is still intact. I am very glad I bought this with the Tag otherwise he would have probably lost it or destroyed it by now.1 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Good case
Tara Islas from Alexandria, VA USA - 4 out of 5.
So far this has been a good case. We can put 5 books in it with his Tag pen. Sometimes it's a little hard to open but my 4-yr-old has it figured out.1 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Neat, convenient storage for Tag reader and books
Bookphile from USA - 5 out of 5.
I bought this case for my daughter once I got tired of looking at her books and reader scattered over her desk. She also likes to take her Tag with her sometimes when we're on the go and it was always difficult for her to try to juggle the reader and the books. While you could purchase almost any plastic case to keep the books organized, the advantage to this one is the molded slot that holds the reader itself. Once the case is closed, the Tag is secure and I no longer worry about her dropped it on the pavement and breaking it. The case also holds several books neatly and it's very convenient for my daughter to have all of her Tag gear in one place. It also means that she can bring a greater variety of books along with her on trips and as she tends to get very involved in the stories and games, this is a lifesaver for me when I need to run a boring errand as I know she'll be well distracted.
My only real complaint about the case is that it doesn't accommodate the large boards such as the Super Speller. It would have been nice to have the option of carrying this as well and being able to store it would help ensure that the letters on the board don't fall off and get lost. Still, I'm glad that I bought this case rather than just any plastic case. I feel it was well-worth the money because it does protect the Tag. Replacing that would cost considerably more than paying for the case.

Great Product!
A. Sessums from Virginia USA - 5 out of 5.
This product serves its purpose well. It has storage for several books and your tag reader pen which is a must in order to keep the pen and the books together. Only thing that I would add is a place for the cord that connects the pen to the computer, but there is plenty of extra space to stick it in there. Very durable and protective.2 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Perfect companion
M. Monsivais from West Point, Utah - 5 out of 5.
I only gave it two stars on fun and educational because it is neither of those things. The stuff it holds however is very fun and educational. This case is perfect for the TAG reader. It holds the reader sturdy and it keeps it from getting broke or turning on. It also holds five books, which is all that the TAG reader can hold. So it is a good way to keep your kids from trying to read books that you do not have currently loaded.1 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
But It
T. Smith from MTZ, IL United States - 4 out of 5.
If you have more than one tag reader book you will want the case to store them in. The design could be better and bigger but worth having especially on the go.1 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Totally worth it!
D. Gillespie from Oklahoma City - 5 out of 5.
At first I thought I would just buy a plastic container to put my son's Tag Reader and books in. But when I saw this was inexpensive and Amazon offered free shipping, I decided to go ahead and order it. Boy, am I glad I did! This is perfect. There's a designated place for the Reader and the books fit in perfectly. Very good purchase for the money.1 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
A must to keep books and system stored neatly!
MKS from Grand Haven, MI USA - 5 out of 5.
This storage case came with the puchase of books and the Tag ReadingSystem, and I was so glad, it really is a handy way to keep all the items stored neatly together. I'm big on keeping things neat, and this was a very nice way to keep everything tidy. My 5 year old princess absolutely loves this system!

LeapFrog Tag Storage Case
Heather Hawthorne from Dallas, TX - 5 out of 5.
Since this is not a toy it's hard to give it a "fun" rating. Likewise with the "educational value". We haven't dropped it yet so I can't say how durable it is, but it seems pretty tough. The case holds as many books as the Tag itself which is handy. You don't want more or less books than the devise will handle. The Tag reader fits snugly inside so there's no rolling around but it is easily removed by a child. The case is also very easy to use for a child. The top nestles nicely and the catches snap closed firmly but are not too hard to open.

A must have
Mark Zeller from Nottingham, MD United States - 5 out of 5.
The Tag pen is fragile. I have two kids (4,1). The one-year old wants to eat the pen, the four-year old has learned to put the pen away in the case. The case is sturdy and easy for our four-year old to access by himself. I recommend this carrying case. It has a special holder for the pen and up to 5 books, which is how many books can be loaded onto the pen.1 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Great Toy!
J. Burt from Cadillac, MI USA - 5 out of 5.
I bought this for my 6 yr old son and he can't put the thing down. It was very easy to set the system up, and as far as how it works, he picked up on it very quickly.0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Tag Case
Jill Gilmore - 5 out of 5.
Great little case to keep all of our Tag pen and books in. Wish it held more than 5-6 books. We actually use this case, unlike our Leapster backpack case. My 4 year old has no problem, open, closing or filling the case.1 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.

Tag Wins
CSB from Eastern NC - 5 out of 5.
Case is a must to keep Tag pen and books in order. If multiple children in family have their own set, label front with name - keeps the fighting down. Child is likely to carry it everywhere they go. They love it.1 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
No room for headphones...
P. Clark - 4 out of 5.
This is a great storage case for the Leap Frog TAG system, but I wish that there would have been enough room for the headphones to be able to fit in as well. Otherwise I have three books and the TAG pen in there with room to spare.1 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Worth the extra money
J. Hering from Chicago, Il United States - 5 out of 5.
The storage case is great. It only holds around 3 books, but it has a special place for the actual Tag reader, which will help it from getting damaged. My 4 year old carries the case around and it's great for staying organized on car trips.1 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
A Must-have Tag Accessory
Jackson Stephens from Salt Lake City, UT, USA - 4 out of 5.
It's not truly perfect, but it's a must-have Tag accessory. It neatly organizes and protects the Tag pen and several books. My main complaints are that the latches that close it are somewhat strangely designed (i.e., occasionally weird to open) and that the case doesn't feel ultra-durable. That being said, it's basically strong enough to hold up to most usage conditions and has a pleasing, modern industrial design to it. If you have a Tag, get it.1 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Couldn't do without it!
Karen Sue Davis from Houston, Texas USA - 5 out of 5.
This is definitely a must have for the tag system. It holds 5-6 books, the same number that can be downloaded to the pen.The only improvement I would make would be for it to hold a set of the tag cards. I don't care that it doesn't hold the USB cable as I wouldn't want my child playing with it.
I disagree with the review about the quality of the case. It is not thin, cheap plastic. The quality is similar to what you would see in a Rubbermaid storage product.

A Must!
T. L. Roe from TN - 5 out of 5.
Do not buy the tag reader without getting this storage case. It is perfect for the books (it holds about six)and the pen securely. It is well made and easy for little hands to carry around and open. There is no where to store the usb cord, which might be nice, but overall I don't think anyone should be without this handy storage case.3 people voted this review as helpful and 1 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Low quality, not durable, probably not needed
A. Dent from Minas Anor, GD - 2 out of 5.
The cheap plastic container - think of the translucent plastic of which milk gallons are made, only thicker - has a partition for the Tag Reader and sufficient room to fit up to 6 books. The hinges consist of 3 strips of clear plastic that are glued to the top half and the bottom half of the case. When opening the case you should not force the top half beyond 90 degrees or the hinges are likely to break - this is what earns this item the one star for 'durability'.
The front is locked with 2 rather loose green plastic clamps. You must be careful when closing the case or they may end up inside the plastic handle instead of outside and they could bend or break.
My advice: you may be better off with a generic (zippered) 8"x10" case for your Tag Reader and its books. If you do decide to buy this one, do not let your kid handle it or it may not last for long.
A warning states that this product should not be used by children under 3 because of a 'hazardous pinch point when closing lid'.

Keep it All Together!

Nicole S. Lonergan - 5 out of 5.
If you buy the Tag system, I recommend getting this case, it's got a spot for everything you need and holds a lot of the books, so everything is in one place. A huge help! And it protects all the books and pens very well.17 people voted this review as helpful and 3 people voted this review as unhelpful.
