Elmos World - Babies Dogs More Reviews
Elmo's World- Babies, Dogs & More
V. Autrey from Savannah, GA USA - 3 out of 5.
My 11 month old son loves Elmo's World I just wish that they would put on the product information what stories are included because I also bought Elmo's World Pets and the Dogs and Cats part was also on there as I have found that alot of these discs do put the same stories on other discs. Overall we are statified.0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
I hate this video - But my grand daughter loves it
Daniel Orr from Great Mills, md United States - 5 out of 5.
I hate this video - But my grand daughter loves it. It is great the first time through but my grand daughter and I have watched it at least five times and I am positive that bananas are yellow and I know what hair is and that it comes in all styles and colors.Seriously she is 3 years old and she loves Elmo and these DVDs.
I watched Alvin and Chipmonks at least 25 times.

This dvd is great
A. Barfield from Goldsboro NC - 5 out of 5.
My 2 1/2 years old daughter is so obsessed with elmo. It doesnt matter what it is if its elmo she has to have it to for Christmas I bought her this dvd and put it in for her and my 1 month old daughter to watch and for 45 minutes I can do what ever house work I need to do and the kids are happy. Plus this dvd also helped me explain to my 2 1/2 years old daughter that she was going to be a big sister and it is so educational I was able to sit and watch the dvd with my kids and not fall asleep as I do with the Barney dvds I have purched for my daughter I would highly recomend this dvd to anyone who is expecting a baby it makes the transition super easy from only child to older child.0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
My 18-month old's favorite Elmo DVD
M. Thompson from San Jose, CA United States - 5 out of 5.
We bought this DVD along with "Elmo Loves You" and "Elmopalooza" for our 18-month old. This is by far his favorite. He is fascinated by all the animals and babies. I think this DVD would really appeal to most kids in this age group (18-24 months).0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Elmo is Mommy's hero!
M. Rodriguez from San Antonio, TX - 4 out of 5.
Elmo is so entrancing, I have no idea how he does it, but when this DVD is on, my daughter can't help but stare at the TV and talk to Elmo (even at only 6 months old!) This episode of Elmo's World is particularly cute because he explores the world of adorable babies-humans and animals. Something about babies makes other babies want to watch. Thanks to Elmo, I get some much needed "Me time"...Although this DVD gets old for me some days, it's worth it because my daughter is glued to it and just can't seem to get enough of this fuzzy little monster and his cute little friends!!0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Rated T for Toddler. Not recommended for adults!
Marian Ravenwood from Los Angeles - 4 out of 5.
No adult should watch this video unaccompanied by a child. Elmo is utterly annoying to anyone overthe age of 7. However, my toddler grandson loves this one. He asks for "Elmo, Babies, and Dogs; Elmo, Babies, and Dogs!" the minute he enters my house. The creators of this thing apparently know what a 2-year-old finds funny, because mine just cracks up when he watches it. And his laughter trumps the annoying Elmo anyday.

Nicole Lane from Maine - 5 out of 5.
I was amazed by how enthused my 10 month old is with this particular DVD. We have other elmo/sesame street, but this one in particular caught my daughters attention. Maybe because we have 2 dogs? But the babies section is adorable as well! One of the best buys for her entertainment! we LOVE LOVE LOVE this DVD! I would recommend it to anyone who wants to "try" an elmo dvd.0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.

Delightful, fun video if you like Elmo
Beth from Fairfax, VA USA - 5 out of 5.
My 18 month old granddaughter has limited screen time and is not overly interested in TV but she loved this video! It is clever and fun to watch. We did not like the "cartoon" segment so much but the video is definitely worth the money and I would defintely buy it again.0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Terrific for Toddlers - Very Worthwhile
Sue Miller from Los Angeles, CA - 5 out of 5.
We received this as a gift from some friends with a slightly older toddler. My son was not allowed to watch TV or DVDs until he was about 2.5 years old, and this was one of the first he really watched and enjoyed. He is the youngest and he loves the "babies" segment, in which toddlers and young children play with babies. My son learned how to interact with babies, and grew very interested in them, from watching this DVD.I think the DVD is very well-done and exciting for small children. We have seen it repeatedly, and each time, I really appreciate the fun imagery, the music, and especially the choice of subjects that hold such great interest for small children.

MelissaMarie from Brentwood, CA - 5 out of 5.
My 10 month old son especially enjoys the first episode about babies. If you already own Elmo's world pets, the dog episode is the same. One of my son's first words was "dog" from watching this episode.0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
I could write a better show. No, my baby could.
B. sweet - 1 out of 5.
This show absolutely drives me crazy. The cartoons are horrible, the annoying voice. My daughter pays attention to it for a while, but I think I'm going to get rid of this thing. It's a jumbled mess of a show. Also I think Mr. Noodle must be the director's out of work father in law that needs some work to buy some booze. What place does he have on that show? Who thought that would be a good idea? It makes no sense.

Can't lose with Elmo!
Karen Wolf from Ohio - 5 out of 5.
My 2 year-old son loves almost anything Elmo, so this was a no-brainer. This was the first Elmo's World DVD I bought for him, because he loves dogs and farms. It turns out, though, that the baby segment is his favorite. We like to sing along with "Old MacDonald." Now that we have Tivo, I could have just recorded the last 20 minutes of Sesame Street every day, but this DVD was a nice addition to our library.1 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
3 Baby Favorites!!!
Sharmin Panjvani from Long Island, NY USA - 5 out of 5.
This DVD has my daughters 3 favorite subjects, Babies, Dogs and Farm. My 1 year old wakes up every morning and sits on her Zebra, points to the TV, and says "bow wow wow wow" which mean "I want to watch Elmo's World about Dogs"She likes all three episodes but the Dogs stick out for her because she has seen (and been afraid of) real dogs)

Not my first choice
bukkybu from Missouri - 3 out of 5.
My 20 month old son will tolerate this video if we put it in, but it isn't one of his favorites. I'm not a big fan of videos where the characters baby talk. I realize that's kind of Elmo's trademark, but Elmo is a bit of a "mush mouth" in this particular video. There are lots of times when my husband and I can't figure out what Elmo has just said. If your looking for a Sesame Street video, I'd pass on this one and go for "Kids Favorite Songs". My son loves it!5 people voted this review as helpful and 1 people voted this review as unhelpful.

CRuggi from FL - 2 out of 5.
I was hoping for a video that would teach my toddler how to treat my baby and dog. This video, while it's cute, didn't do that. It basically shows different types of babies and dogs.1 people voted this review as helpful and 4 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Not enough puppet characters!
Haven's Mom from Woodland Hills, CA - 2 out of 5.
This video is boring. Too much talking and too little talking from the muppet characters. I don't know what it is about him and this DVD, but my daughter (16 months) is in LOVE. All you have to do is say his name and she runs to the TV pointing and stomping in excitement. He's so annoying, but my 2 year old daughter LOVES him. We own this DVD, and she wants to watch it atleast once a day. It's Babies, Dogs and "More" (which is actually about farms/animals/farmers). It's very entertaining for little ones. Highly recommended.1 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.

I just got my daughter this for her 2nd birthday. As soon as it started she sat down and hasn't moved except to laugh, clap or dance.Elmo teaches children like a child would teach.Ever since she started watching Elmo her vocabulary and she is more able to recognize objects. This dvd is a fantastic way to introduce your child to Elmo and Sesame Street. They wont be able to get enough!1 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
My 13 month old is in love with Elmo,,, and this movie!
Lauren A. - 5 out of 5.
I bought this video because my daughter loves dogs and other animals. I also bought it because there is a segment on babies - as we are having a baby in a few months, I thought it would be good to expose her to little babies. My daughter this loves this video. She asks to watch it multiple times every day. Sometimes we have to hide it. She laughts at Elmo and really relates to all the animals and babies that are shown in the segments. The video is divided into 3 full length segments of Elmo's World - one on babies, one on dogs, and one on farm animals. My daughter loves each one. Plus they are very educational. If there is a new baby on the way, I DEFINITELY recommend this video as a tool to teach your toddler about babies. It discusses how to play with babies and what newborns are like.

Too many animals, too few babies
A's Mommy - 2 out of 5.
We were really disappointed with the Babies section of this DVD. I bought it because my daughter loves pictures of other babies, but it turns out that there are only 2 (very short) segments about actual babies, and then the rest of the entire Babies segment is about animal babies. Especially since the other segments of the DVD are already about animals (dogs and farm animals), this was too few babies and too many animals for us. If you're looking for a video of babies, buy a different one!6 people voted this review as helpful and 1 people voted this review as unhelpful.
very cute
Lydia's Mommy from Roscoe, IL - 4 out of 5.
My daughter doesn't watch much television, and when she does it is usually Dora, Miffy or Blue's Clues on Noggin. So, I didn't know if she would be interested in this Elmo DVD when she got it for her first birthday. But now I know that regardless of the main character, babies and doggies are a sure winner. Watching the little kids play with the babies is my favorite part, and it really gets my daughter's attention. All in all I do recommend this DVD. It shows alot, but isn't too fast paced. Also, there are some very adorbale scenes. But by the time the farm segment starts my daughter has usually lost interest.1 people voted this review as helpful and 1 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Toddlers LOVE this video
D. Lane from austin, tx United States - 5 out of 5.
We love this video. I love that it teachs my kids about babies, dogs, and farms. All three shows on this video are done very well. And I really can't say that with all Elmo's world shows. This video opens the way to talk to young kids about babies, dogs and farms. Which is great. I'm a home daycare provider. Over the yrs I have collected over 100 kids videos. Elmo's World - Babies, Dogs & More! seems to entertain my daycare kids ages 14 months to 5 yrs greatly. I'd say it's in the top 20 favorite videos of my daycare kids.22 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.

I'm ten years old and I love Elomo's world. I mean I haven't watched in a year. When I'm bored it's fun to laugh at how funny, In my way of age, to see such a baby show. It's like teenagers watching Winnie the Pooh. They still like it.It's like for a period of time you are little and like it and then in like first grade you hate it and think it's babyish then in about 5th grade there are no more shows on and you just look on tv and you watch it. I laugh at those things todlers would would listen to. To me it's entertaining! LAlalala Elmo's world!

What a great, entertaining video. Three of my 10-month old's favorite things are; Elmo, puppies and other babies. Iowa Mom from Quad Cities, Iowa - 5 out of 5.
I bought this DVD because my 14-month old son loves dogs, and we were going to be taking a long vacation in the car and needed some DVDs to help keep him entertained. This was by far his favorite DVD. It keeps him mesmerized through the whole thing - no matter how often we play it. He even laughs at some of the silliness. I will definitely be ordering more Elmo videos - they are a big hit in our house!4 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
babies, barking and the barn
girlie mom from Concord, MA USA - 5 out of 5.
We only own 3 "Elmo's World" DVD's, but this one makes my 18 month old and 3 year old daughters laugh out loud.I find Sesame Street much more tolerable than many children's DVD's, but even they can run a stray into the annoying zone at times. "Babies, Dogs & More" offers young children three different topics that are interesting and entertaining for their age cohort. Elmo, the Astin Kusher of the toddler set, has a magnetic personality for the younger generation and for those of us older parents who only remember Bert & Ernie and Big Bird, he is a wonderful ambassador into the "new" world of children's entertainment.
My daughter's and I would recommend this highly.

Big Daddy from TN - 4 out of 5.
Elmo in Grouchland keeps my kid's attention longer than this one. Still, there is something about that Elmo critter that hypnotizes kids and he's not nearly as annoying as Barney or Blues Clues. Elmo is the ONLY thing that my 17 month old will watch on TV.3 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
AN ELMO FAVORITE IN OUR HOUSE
Tim Janson from Michigan - 5 out of 5.
My son received this for his second birthday back in October of 2004 and it has become one of his most favorite DVDs to watch and is one of the 15 or so in his regular viewing rotation. Kids love watching videos with babies and dogs in them and that's the theme of this DVD. Elmo learns about what babies eat, how they behave and the joy they bring to their families. Then Elmo learns about dogs and how to feed and take care of them. Mr. Noodle is along as he does one of his usual silly routines as he walks a pretend dog much to Elmo's and kids delight.
The last part of the DVD deals with farms as Old Macdonald joins the fun teaching Elmo all about life on a farm. Elmo learns about taking care of farm animals and growing vegetables. This was a fun and educational DVD for kids from toddler all the way through early elementary school, done with the usual Elmo flair, songs and silliness. A classic!

Elmo still rules!
kim from phoenix,az - 3 out of 5.
My 2 yr old son enjoys watching this video but then again he will watch anything ELMO! There are parts of the video that are cute and my son is mesmorized by the babies & dogs & then there are parts like Mr. Noodle that he's not interested in. There is one scene that scares my son. It's the scene where Oscar the grouch goes into his garbage can & it gets really dark. All you see are a bunch of eyeballs - some scary - bouncing around on the tv screne. It lasts a couple of minutes & my son starts screaming & gets scared. Does this happen to anyone elses child? I always have to fast forward the video at that part. I am very surprised they would put something so scary in a little kids video! Other than that scary scene, he enjoys the video.6 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Not our favorite
trousseau4 from ma - 3 out of 5.
My 2 year old daughter absolutely adores Elmo. The first DVD we bought her was The Best Of Elmo and she loves it. She watches it over and over. I purchased Babies, Dogs and More because I thought she would love it as well. But we are both disappointed. Although she does enjoy it, she is not as glued to the TV as with The Best of Elmo. The singing and music is lacking in this one. Also Mr Noodle is both annoying and creepy. I realize he is part of the TV show (which I have never watched), but I think the video would be far better if he was not a part of it.4 people voted this review as helpful and 1 people voted this review as unhelpful.
terrific compilation of 3 classic "Elmo's World" segments
YinYang from SoCal, USA - 4 out of 5.
Babies, dogs, and farms -- the subjects of these three Elmo segments are completely engrossing for my 16-month-old. Yes, Elmo's voice is a little grating, but it's not about us adults now is it?Each of the three segments was originally a segment on Sesame Street, so they follow the formula: "what is Elmo thinking about today?" followed by actual and Muppet versions of babies, dogs, and farm creatures, followed by questions from Dorothy, followed by a Mr. Noodle sequence, followed by a cartoon sequence, etc. This is a high-quality transfer and a staple of toddler-taming in our house.
One small thing -- and this is, I realize, a nit that few people would pick -- I am tired of Sesame Street products always showing babies with bottles and saying, "this is how babies eat" etc. Yes, it's how SOME babies eat, but not all. I don't exactly expect Elmo to show Muppets breastfeeding their infant Muppets, but enough with the bottles. If nursing is too controversial to depict or discuss, then avoid the bottles as well.

Too anitclimatic for young children, Barney is better.
Anonymous from Michigan - 3 out of 5.
I bought this for my 18 month old who loves Barney, she had little interest in Elmo, Babies, Dogs and more. There is little singing and dancing and that is what she prefers. Barney changes pace from dancing to lesson teaching, it's much better for young children.Good luck.

Elmo's World = Quiet Time
Barbara Millet from Belle Harbor, NY USA - 5 out of 5.
If we ever need to settle down our rowdy toddler, this is the DVD to do it (as well as any of the Elmo's World DVDs). The repiticious Elmo routine settles our savage beast. She'll still play with her toys and will walk away from time to time, but she does it quietly and always comes running back when the kazoo starts playing. this one is great to throw in the mini van for short trips because the segments are short, so you don't have to wait until the end of the DVD to get out of the car (for those with DVDs in their car/van/truck) Basically it is the same Elmo snippets you see on Sesame Street.3 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Perfect Intro to Elmo for Babies
Angie from NYC - 5 out of 5.
My daughter has always loved Sesame Street with Elmo being her favorite puppet. We have the Best of Elmo, which she loves so we had to get this one since she loves looking at other babies and dogs. The segments are adorable with about 15 minutes spent on each. We get to see many different babies, even the Sesame Street cast as babies as well. The dog segment is great for us since it shows our daughter how to get along with our dog. The farm segment is my favorite. Elmo wants to tape Oscar feeding his animals, so he jumps into Oscar's trash can much to Oscar's objection. It is the first look I've ever gotten inside his can. I'll agree with one reviewer as it isn't as educational as the other Elmo's world videos, however it does teach about our world and the life in it. My daughter has been watching Elmo since she was about 8 months old (she's now a lil over 1) and her adoration has grown each day. This is a definite keeper and at the most it will keep your child entertained for about 50 minutes. This is the perfect time to get my daughter to munch on some healthy snacks while I clean up.47 people voted this review as helpful and 3 people voted this review as unhelpful.

If your little one has started to love elmo she'll love this video. Most kids love anything that has to do with Babies and Dogs anyway. She also got the Elmo Petter and the Wolf, but doesn't like it as much. My daughter is 21 months and will sit still for the whole 45 mins. of the video. Every morning she wakes up and says,I'ant elmo. Moms, its a great way to get those chores done.0 people voted this review as helpful and 1 people voted this review as unhelpful.

We first saw this video when we went to a children's hair salon for my daughter's first haircut. They had TV/VCR combos at every station and put this tape in for us. My daughter was so mesmorized she barely even noticed the woman cutting her hair! I was so worried her first hair cut would be awful...thank goodness for Elmo! I am happy with my 13 month old daughter's reaction to this tape. It keeps her watching for almost the entire show. I rate it right hehind "Singing Babies" videos, which feature real babies singing the nursery rhymes. A fellow parent review had turned me on to "Singing Babies." Their videos captivate my daughter from start to finish. So, I reserve 5 stars for their products, which is why I give "Elmo's World" only 4 stars.2 people voted this review as helpful and 4 people voted this review as unhelpful.

It's Elmo....what can I say
heidi324 from Denver, CO - 4 out of 5.
Another great series of Elmo's World "stuff". While my daughter loves this DVD as much as the other Elmo's Worlds, my only comment on this particular DVD is that it doesn't have the same learning potential as the others. She loves babies and dogs (as most kids do)so that is why it is entertaining for her, but she really isn't getting the lessons out of this one that she does out of the others (like brushing your teeth and puting your shoes on and reading books). Overall it is still a very good program, but I would say it is more entertaining than educational.6 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Strange! It is all about bottlefeeding, etc.
Anonymous - 1 out of 5.
hmmm. One would think that the makers of Sesame Street would know that breast is best, but, unfortunately, the video shows a bottle in almost every scene that it shows a baby! Not once does it show a baby nursing! Not even an animal baby! Even the animals are fed with bottles in the video! It makes bottlefeeding appear to be the norm (certainly NOT what I want to teach my child)! It also refers repeatedly to "babysitters." I would never leave a baby with a "babysitter" and I certainly wouldn't want to teach my child that babysitters are the norm either. Babies should be with their mothers wherever their mothers go! This video is not for anyone who is a breastfeeding, attached parent.23 people voted this review as helpful and 49 people voted this review as unhelpful.

My baby loves it!

I bought this video on a whim when my baby was just a couple months old. She saw it first when she was about six months and loved the Babies! At 10 months she was transfixed whenever I put the tape in and now at 12 months she giggles like crazy at parts. She even hands me the remote when she wants to watch her Elmo tape. I hate to push TV on kids so I don't let her watch it much but it's great when you just need to do something quickly. A tornado could blow through our house and I don't think her eyes would move from the TV as long as Elmo was playing!3 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
My daughter's absolute favorite!
Anonymous - 5 out of 5.
My daughter is almost two years old. This DVD is her absolute favorite of all of her Elmo videos. She always reaches for this video first. It includes three fifteen minute segments of Elmo's World. It is perfect for a two year old. She's at the stage where she loves seeing other babies, puppies and animals. I can't say enough about this video, except that it's A+.0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.

My 2-year old's most requested DVD
Anonymous from San Gabriel, CA USA - 5 out of 5.
My son is 2 and he just loves his Elmo. This is the only one I bought him so far and he just loves all the characters in this one since they include babies and animals. He would sit there and watch it over and over again. Elmo is always educational and fun. My husband and I have a good time watching the DVD w/ him too, mind you only for the first couple of times. We usually have to restrict the time he sits in front of TV watching this.I'm interested in finding out from other parents what other Elmo video/DVD would they recommend to increase our collection.

Our family favorite

Our daughter LOVES this video! She cries for it every day, and we have to watch it over and over again. She especially loves watching the babies and puppies. She will go and get her stuffed dog and sit down with it. We will buy more Elmo videos for her (also telling the grandparents).I highly recommend this video to other mothers.

This is a winner!

We've had this DVD for two months now and our 14 month old daughter takes to it every time it's on! What child doesn't love babies and animals? It is a sure win. The DVD feature allows you to get quick access to the segment you want to view, whether it be the babies, dogs, or life on the farm segments. I am always impressed with the high quality and creativity of Sesame Street productions, and this one is no exception.3 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Twin Toddlers Love It!!
John Doubleday from Nashua, NH United States - 4 out of 5.
My kids love this video...of course they love anything with Elmo in it though. I like how it is divided into segments so that you can stop after just one if you wanted to. This video has provided my children with hours of entertainment, we bought it for them when the were 1 and they are going on 2 now and still love it.4 people voted this review as helpful and 1 people voted this review as unhelpful.
For toddlers with short attention spans
Marigloria Sierra from Guaynabo, PR USA - 5 out of 5.
I bought this video for my oldest daughter (now 4) when she was about 18 months. We watched it together over and over and over. Even though she does not watch it as often, I can still sing the songs and recite the dialogue. It's educational, entertaining and great for kids especially those who love animals. I highly recommend it even for kids who don't watch Sesame Street because this segment in particular is very targeted to toddlers, even those with VEEEERRRRYYYY short attention spans.0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Poor compared to others available
Boo Radley from USA - 1 out of 5.
I bought this tape for my daughter based on the positive reviews I saw here on Amazon.com. I was disappointed. The tape is poorly produced, unimaginative, loud and annoying. Listening to Elmo's incessant, unintelligible speech is slightly worse than hearing fingernails scrape a chalkboard. The action is superimposed over static backgrounds, which looks very cheaply and hastily done.My child will sit through an entire Baby Einstein tape completely enthralled, but this one couldn't hold her attention for more than 5 minutes. Spend your money on any of the wonderful Baby Einstein tapes or Veggie Tales tapes instead.

Irritating
M. Kincaid from St. Augustine, FL USA - 1 out of 5.
My 15 mos old granddaughter has this video. She likes it, but BOY is irritating for anyone else in the room. I can't understand much of what Elmo says and after awhile that voice gets on my nerves. There are much better videos out there. May I recommend some of the Veggie Tales.1 people voted this review as helpful and 4 people voted this review as unhelpful.

Elmo's very best
Heather Walton from Chico, CA - 5 out of 5.
My 18-month-old loves this tape! I like that it is an hour long and keeps her occupied the entire time! There are three Elmo's World episodes: Playing with babies. Second are the dogs. The final episode examines life on the farm and daily chores done there. It is a fun tape with lots of baby animals to look at. Nothig like babies animals to capture the attention of an active toddler! If this tape were only on DVD- it would be perfect.2 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Toddler loves it!
Anonymous from NY - 5 out of 5.
My 15-month-old started watching this video even before she started watching Sesame Street on TV. From the beginning, she's loved it and can watch it over and over; as soon as the music starts, she starts stomping her feet in excitement. As others have pointed out, the video is divided into three separate 15-minute segments, so there's flexibility in how to watch it. So long as my daughter doesn't burn out on this video, we should be able to get years of use out of it, as it's pure entertainment now and will actually be educational in the next year or so when she understands more of the content.11 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.

Toddler love
Anonymous - 5 out of 5.
From the moment we put this video in the VCR, my then-baby, now-toddler, loved this video. She runs up to the television to hug Elmo, and plays peek-a-boo with him in front of the set. When my husband or I are alone with her, we can pop the video in the VCR, put her in her crib, and take a quiet shower while she watches Elmo for 15 minutes. This is by far the best video we have for her, and highly recommend it to any parent who needs 5 or 10 minutes of "breathe time" to occupy an otherwise inconsolable toddler.

good for toddlers, too!
Anonymous from Gordonsville, VA United States - 4 out of 5.
At about 10 mos. my younger daughter started taking interest in this video. The muppets are interspersed with live-action clips of kids w. babies (as well s farm animals & dogs) which really grabs her attention. Elmo himself is very bright and animated, which attracts the attention of kids younger than the recommended ages (3-6). I would note that my almost-5-y.o. was bored by this after one or two viewings, but is more than happy to explain to her younger sibling what is going on in the video.I noticed that the other Sesame Street videos we have do not interest my toddler like this Elmo's World video does. It seems less tedious and faster paced with more emphasis on visuals than the other Sesame Street videos do. I would recmmend this one as a nice 'first' introduction to Sesame Street beginning in the toddler years. It dosen't bother with counting and the alphabet like more 'grown up' Sesame Street, but rather focuses on this that are really facinating for really little ones like babies (like themselves!) and animals.
Highly recommend - and sooner rather than later.

Your kid will like it, but it might drive you crazy
Anonymous - 5 out of 5.
Elmo is the most annoying monster I have ever met. He never stops talking and laughing in that high-pitched, irritating voice. However, my two-year-old loves him, and she actually learns from the video. The incessant talking is a real incentive for her to speak more herself. The best thing about the video is that each of the three sections is stand-alone. I don't like to sit my kid down in front of the TV for too long, so the separate sections allow me to limit viewing time while cutting off the video at a logical place. Don't expect to love the video yourself, but who cares what we love? The five star rating is on behalf of the true audience.

This is one of the few videos that captures, and maintains, our 2 year son's attention. He loves it! We bought it about 3 months ago and he stills asks to see it. It is wonderful to watch him enjoy it so much...(and to watch him sit still for more than a minute! ). Sesame Street did an excellent job choosing topics that are an interest for this age group. It is both educational and entertaining. We are so happy we bought it and we highly recommend it.14 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.

Strongly recommend it to any parent who cares about good educational TV. Cheers to the Sesame Street CTW for producing it.
