This game was purchased for my grand daughter for Christmas, and she loves it. I have not had the opportunity to play it with her, but she plays with her friends and has alot of laughs.0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.

Great game to play with the kids!

I purchased this game so my kids would not be watching TV all the time and get their brains going. My 5 year old even joins in too. The whole family loves to play on a Sunday. Kids get to guess and draw and have fun without tv or video games!1 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.

Why did they stop making this game? It's great!

We bought this game after playing the adult version at a friend's house. While playing it we realized how much it was helping our 5 year old son with speech challenges communicate through his drawings. He's not a big drawer and doesn't have much confidence in his drawings. Since we've been playing the Jr version he has gotten much better and he has a good time drawing and having fun. Also, since he can't really read much yet playing in teams is good so someone who is not guessing can help him with what the word on the card is and give him some hints on how to draw it. The whole family enjoys the game. Why did they stop making it?0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.

My son loves his Rubik's and it is an old time favorite of mine! We compete against each other, and of course he always wins. Great fun and keeps his attention while riding in the car.0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Lots of fun

Our family has always enjoyed Pictionary, and this version is great to include the kids! My 6-year-old really enjoyed herself because the topics are all things she has heard of, and can draw independently. Nice way to introduce board games.0 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
any age

This pictionary version is a game any age can play. It works best with teams. You should also have a "reader" on each team or a designated "reader". What is great for younger kids, is that they feel successful when you are able to guess what they have drawn. (even when the picture looks nothing like it is suppose to look like) The game focuses on a subject theme. (ex: items found in a sandbox) That way you can somewhat guess at what the child is drawing. On a side note. This is a great birthday party game. You can split up into teams and you can be the designated reader.
Have fun!

GREAT Family GAME!!
Buffalogal from Kentucky, USA - 5 out of 5.
This game will be easy for adults but is really good for kids. My kids loved to play regular pictionary but it is hard for them to understand what some the items/things are to draw. Sometimes I don't know... Pictionary Jr solves that problem easily. It is a game for the whole family and comes with 2 skill levels for different ages of kids. Kids have to think outside the box and it is really great to see how their minds truly work diffently from an adults.3 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.

Great family fun!

We have 3 kids, ages 5, 8 and 10, and we can play this game together. There are 2 levels of clue difficulty, so that helps us customize it based on what our kids can do. My 5yo plays on a team with an adult to help him along, but we are amazed at how well he can do. He just needs someone from the other team to read and whisper the clue to him and give him an idea of how to draw it. We haven't been able to find this game in stores and so we were very happy to find it here on Amazon. Highly recommended!1 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Love this game!

I bought this game for my 7 year old twins, a boy and a girl. They both love it. It is nice having two different levels of difficulty. An adult must help as the kids can't read all of the words yet. We even help our 3 year old play too. As a teacher and parent, I would definitely recommend this game for the whole family.3 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Fun for the Whole Family!

One of the games my son got from his Grandma for Christmas was Pictionary Jr. My husband, myself and our son was on one team, and my brother, his girlfriend, and her son was on the other. We were having so much fun that Grandma begged us to play the next game! When rolling the die and landing on an All Play square (shown by an image of four pencils), the "Picturist" for one team shows the Picturist from the other team the word that matches the color of the square landed upon. BOTH Picturists draw the word and then it's a race as to who draws the picture the fastest. For Single Play (shown by a single pencil), one team rolls the die and sketches until someone on the team does NOT guess the picture.
This game comes with a white side with easier words (for smaller children), while the blue side has more challenging words. For example, the white side of one card may have Bell, Baby, Box, Button and Branch (Starts with "B"), while the blue side will have Team, Goal Post, High Five, Quarterback and Cheerleader (Football Game). Of course, which word is actually drawn depends on which colored square that is landed on.
There are two game pieces and a sand timer. The game comes with two small pencils and a pad of paper, but get this: the pencils aren't even sharpened! They're just pieces of unsharpened wood. Sheesh...they don't make 'em like they used to!
If you like drawing games, Pictionary Jr. is a fun option for the whole family--even for children who can't yet read (they can always guess what the pictures are!). Unfortunately, there needs to be at least 3 players for this game. In the case of 3 players, one person serves as the permanent Picturist for both teams.

Great game for whole family!
Peter Koskovich from Tulsa,OK - 4 out of 5.
This game is a good tool for all kids even if they can't read or draw as they just need to guess at what their team-mate is drawing. We bought this game for our kids as they love to draw and like the adult version so much we are happy they have their own version. Great job and great game to create family fun!3 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
Finally, a Kid's Game with Drawing!!
Anonymous - 5 out of 5.
I like Pictionary Jr. because it is a game about drawing, one of my favorite things, for kids. It's hard for younger kids who can't read and you need about four people. But overall, I really like it.13 people voted this review as helpful and 2 people voted this review as unhelpful.

The only setback to this game is if the people you are playing it with really stink at drawing. If that's so, then you're at a disadvantage and pretty much sunk. But it's fun to play anyway!4 people voted this review as helpful and 10 people voted this review as unhelpful.

It's Iffy
Troy from Pittsburgh - 3 out of 5.
Pictionary Jr. isn't as fun as the older version. I've played this game so many times that I know off by heart what the cards have on them. I think they should make more cards for it. It is a kinda fun game. I rated it 5stars for educational because littler kids can either play the game while trying to sound the words out or they can just take the cards out of the game and try to sound them out without playing it. I rated i 3 stars for durability because if you drop the game while it's in or out of the box the cards will scatter all over the place.10 people voted this review as helpful and 18 people voted this review as unhelpful.

We play this as a family on family game night. My five year old daughter is as good and has as much fun as anyone, but we have to read her some of the words.5 people voted this review as helpful and 0 people voted this review as unhelpful.
